"Artist who took a bunch of drugs and did self portraits"

So since we've began our course we've been doing a few self-portrait pieces, the seaside photo board and the colour brief. It reminded me of an artist, who's name I forgot and I literally just typed into google "artist who took drugs and did self portraits" and his website was the first answer. Anyway his name is Bryan Lewis Saunders and he wanted to experience a greater perception of self so he decided to take different drugs and draw a self portrait under the influence. After awhile he suffered mild brain damage because of the quantity and time scale he took the drugs in, although he is still continuing this project just spaced out more.
